In practical sessions, participatory workshops can be organized in different fields. They can take the form of presentations, art collaborations, performances, role games, music, dance, poetry, etc. We warmly welcome all kinds of art-based methods and encourage the participants to use their imagination freely in organizing practical workshops. The sessions can be related to any topics of the conference, including, but not limited to:
- Art as a tool for participatory development, dialogue and empowerment
- Participatory development with Indigenous people
- Practices of maintaining cultural heritage
- Indigenous art and activism
- Research ethics and decolonizing methodologies
The conference can facilitate sessions in different types of spaces:
- Sinco laboratory
Service Innovation Corner (SINCO) is a prototyping environment for
service and interaction design located physically in the Faculty of Art
and Design in University of Lapland. SINCO equipment offer
technology-aided tools for agile experience prototyping and creative

- Fine Art classrooms
Art workshops can be organized in fine art classrooms where different types of sessions can be facilitated and a variety of materials can be used.
- Seminar spaces
For panel conversations and presentations, a variety of different types of classrooms are available around the campus. They are all equipped with computers and projectors
