Call for abstracts

The organizing committee welcomes abstract submissions for the following themes:

1. Security in digital learning environments
2. Well-being in online/hybrid teaching and learning
3. Sustainable development in education and learning
4. Education and learning during crisis
5. Future competence and skills of vocational educators
6. Vocational students´ future working life competence
7. Vocational education and training in the digitalizing society
8. Online/hybrid teaching and learning in different learning environments
9. Continuous and lifelong learning
10. Students’ competence pathways in institutional collaboration
11. Immigration and multicultural vocational education and training
12. Learning ecosystems
13. Supporting study ability and skills
14. Equity in learning
15. The future of higher education
16. The future of vocational education and training
17. An open topic

Oral presentations
The proposal for an oral presentation should fit into one selected theme. The sessions (about 90 minutes each) usually consist of four presentations (15 min + 5 min discussion) around a central theme that relates to the vocational and professional education research. The final programme will be released in the beginning of November 2022.

Poster presentations
You can also take part with a poster. The poster exhibition will provide information about ongoing or finalized research. Poster presentation can be given by an individual researcher or a research group.

The poster exhibition will be in Agora, F-wing of the University of Lapland (during the whole conference). The presenter will take care of the posters of their own (setting up and taking off in the end of the conference). We ask poster presenters to be beside their posters during the breaks for discussions and further presentations. Maximum and recommended poster size is vertical/portrait A0 (841×1189) and minimum is A1 (594×841). Posters will be mounted by pins.

Submissions: 

The deadline for all abstracts is Friday September 16, 2022. Notifications on the acceptance will be sent by 4 October 2022. 

Please use the online system for your submission (link below). Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted. The abstract for an oral or a poster presentation should be maximum of 500 words and should include text only (no pictures, tables, graphics, keywords or references).

NB! If you send a poster abstract, choose "poster" for both presentation and category in the online system. 

It is possible to log in to the submission system either with LinkedIn or Google account or by creating a separate account for the system. Please note that all messages from the system (confirmation of submission, notifications etc.) will be sent to the email address used when logging in. If you use your Google account, all messages will be sent to your gmail address.
