Policymakers and stakeholders from cultural sectors throughout the Arctic region present, analyze and discuss the role of arts and culture in the Arctic. Representatives from ministries of Arctic countries and keynote speakers share their vision for the development of Arctic art and culture.

Funding organizations hold a strong position to define what kind of art and culture is supported. In this panel discussion the leaders of most important funding organizations of the art and cultural field talk about their strategies and future perspectives. These notable panelists are challenged to ponder, how we can make circumpolar collaboration in art and culture possible and promote sustainability. Panel members are:

Exhibition opening / Arctic // Street Art // Summit - the Northern art breaks free from the museum and takes over the facade of the building. Artists making their marks to the wall of the old post bus depot are Hanna Kanto, Samuli Kontio (Finland), Vemund Thoe (Norway), Iliya Baidak (Russia) and Anders Sunna (Sweden). The exhibition is produced by Rovaniemi Art Museum in collaboration with the curators collective Pikene på Broen, Norway.

Exhibition Place of Origin / The Rovaniemi Art Museum has produced the exhibition of the contemporary Native art of Alaska in collaboration with the Anchorage Museum, Alaska.
