Forthcoming event 29.1.2025 Public presentation in Samimuseum Siida and streaming to Vapriikki-museum in Tampere Linkola-Aikio, Inker-Anni & Qureshi, Amna ( public presentation in Finnish and English) Indigenous artists and crafters re-interpreting and transmitting cultural heritage through narratives in the digital age – examples from Australia and Sápmi/Alkuperäiskansataiteilijoiden ja duojáreiden kertomukset välittävät kulttuuriperintöä digiaikana – esimerkkejä Australiasta ja Saamenmaalta.

Other activities  (Internationalisation): 

Mobility: Dino Girardi, Inker-Anni Linkola-Aikio, Qureshi Amna and Sarantou Melanie: 10 days visit to Ceduna Art Center, Australia (Feb 2023).

DESIS Social Innovation Network: Amna Qureshi has revived the DESIS Social Innovation lab at the Faculty of Design with active participation in sessions, as well as chaired a dedicated DESIS Café to present the results of TRUST project.

Sarantou also established the DESIS-Q lab at Kyushu University in 2023. We actively collaborate with ARCTIC Design Lab DESIS, participating in events and cluster meetings. Melanie Sarantou is active in the DESIS network in Asia in her role as Adjunct Professor at ULAP. (DESIS is a global social innovation network with more than 70 laboratories.)
