What are My Global Diary Ambassadors?
The international student ambassadors of the University of Lapland and Lapland University of Applied Sciences are aiming to inspire students in their internationalisation journey and share stories from their own faculty's students. As an ambassador you get to be a part of our amazing team and you get to share internationalisation stories, whether it was during exchange, about applying process for exchange, about internship abroad or about going international at home. You will increase your internationalisation competencies and network with a lot of people. The task is completely student-oriented, and you are able to do it with your own style and with a relaxed attitude, but you always have the support of the internationalisation team behind you. In this task ambassadors work for a period of six months, but it's of course possible to continue later on as well.
What do we expect from an Ambassador?
We expect you to share your journey as an outgoing exchange student with your colleagues & university community. Your journey should be expressed in the way you feel it deserves to be shared. Also, regarding what do you consider valuable and interesting to share. How’s life at your exchange destination? What have you done in your free time? How were your studies conducted? What are the main cultural differences? Essentially, the Ambassador proposes the content and creates the media in the way they want (text, image, video, voice-over, etc).
Overall, we are looking for motivated & inspired students, who can to work independently and deliver the proposed content by agreed deadlines. Also, we expect an Ambassador who has experience with social media platforms, specifically Instagram.
