At our university you are free to choose your minor from

• the minor subjects offered by the faculties (see the Study Guide)
• the courses and programmes offered by the Open University and the Summer University
• your studies abroad
• the modules offered at the Language Centre
• JOO studies (Flexible right to study) at the University of Oulu
  

Major subject as a minor

Minor studies comprise the basic and subject studies in a subject. This means that the majors offered in the faculties provide courses from which students in different majors can put together minors.

Choosing a minor

Choosing a minor plays a significant role for your degree and your future career. When choosing a minor, you should pay attention to the employment opportunities as well as your interests. Be creative when combining minors and select studies that support your goals.

Listed below are the minor subjects offered or coordinated by our faculty. You can also take studies from the course offering of the Lapland University of Applied Sciences. Note that only some of these studies are offered in English.
